It applies to our facilities and operations in Ohio, Kentucky, Florida, and related online rental and payment portals.

SMS program use. If you opt in, we use your mobile number to send recurring Cornerstone Storage texts about your account, billing, access/gate codes, facility alerts, appointments or move-in/move-out, customer-service replies, and occasional offers related to your storage account. Consent to texts is not required to rent a unit.

Mobile information — required non-sharing statement

No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

We do not sell, rent, or trade mobile numbers or SMS opt-in data. We may use a messaging or facility-management vendor solely to deliver messages you requested and to process opt-outs. Those vendors are not permitted to use your number for their own marketing.

How we share information (other than SMS opt-in)

We may share other personal information only as needed with:

Facility management, access-control, and tenant-protection / insurance providers

Professional advisors (legal, accounting, insurance)

We keep rental, billing, and communications records for as long as the account is active and as required for tax, legal, insurance, and security purposes. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including SSL on our website and restricted staff access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Third-party sites and portals

Rental, payment, or gate-access portals hosted by our software providers have their own practices. Their privacy notices apply when you use those portals.
